This 1965 Ford Mustang is a 289 fastback that was refurbished before it was acquired by the seller in 2018. It has been repainted Poppy Red over a black interior, and it has power steering, 17″ Ridler wheels, a Weiand intake manifold, Shelby-logo valve covers, headers and a dual exhaust system, an aluminum radiator, and a vintage-look stereo. This Mustang is now offered with a clean Indiana title in the seller’s name.
The car was ordered in Smokesilver Gray (K), and it has been repainted Poppy Red according to the seller. The dual exhaust system exits through the rear valance with GT-style tips.
The 17″ Ridler wheels have polished lips and are mounted with 225/45 tires. Braking is handled by front and rear drums, and the car has power steering.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black vinyl with Pony accents. A vintage-look stereo and center armrest with cupholders have been installed.
Instrumentation consists of a 140-mph speedometer flanked auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 19k miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership.
The 289ci V8 has been fitted with a Weiand aluminum intake, Shelby-logo finned valve covers, a Summit Racing carburetor, and tubular headers. An aluminum radiator has also been installed.
