This 1973 Cadillac was converted into a hearse by the Superior Coach Division of the Sheller-Globe Corporation of Lima, Ohio. It reportedly served as a funeral coach for approximately 30 years in Missouri before being acquired by the owner in 2018. Finished in gold over patterned gray upholstery, the hearse is powered by a 472ci V8 linked to a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a black vinyl roof, power steering, power front disc brakes, Ridler 18″ wheels, an Edelbrock carburetor, an HEI distributor, mid-length exhaust headers, Flowmaster mufflers, a reverse camera, a bed, and draped lighting. This Hearse is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner at no reserve with spare parts and a clean Minnesota title.
The hearse is finished in gold and features a black vinyl rear roof, faux landau bars, chrome bumpers, bright trim, a receiver hitch, and a reverse camera. The car has been partially repainted under prior ownership and rust areas and paint blemishes are displayed in the gallery.
Ridler 18″ alloy wheels are mounted with General Altimax RT 245/55 tires. The hearse features a fully boxed frame and is equipped with power steering. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The seating surfaces are upholstered in patterned gray cloth upholstery and interior elements include an analog clock, a Sony CD stereo, a Whistler amplifier, Infinity speakers, and lap belts. The air conditioning does not blow cold.
The rear cargo area can be accessed from the side and rear doors and is equipped with floor-mounted rollers, gold curtains, a bed, and 120-volt outlets. Added lighting is draped from the upper sides and wear is visible on the carpeted floors.
A 120-mph speedometer is flanked by a fuel-level gauge and a set of warning lamps. The five-digit odometer shows 48k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership.
The 472ci V8 is equipped with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, an HEI-style distributor, an aluminum radiator, and mid-length exhaust headers.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Turbo Hydra-Matic 400 three-speed automatic transmission. A custom dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers has been fitted. Corrosion is visible on underbody components.
