This 1967 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ8 Mk III was purchased new by the current owner’s parents who reportedly acquired the car from British Motor Car Distributors in Berkeley, California. The car wears a repaint in Metallic Golden Beige with a replacement black convertible top, and it is powered by a 2.9-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The black leather interior features gold piping and burled wood accents, and it was recently reupholstered. Additional features include 15″ knock-off wire wheels, front disc brakes, a top boot, a tonneau cover, a hood scoop, a cabin heater, and front bucket seats. This 3000 Mk III is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate and a clean California title in the owner’s name.

The 2.9-liter inline-six featured dual SU HD8 carburetors from the factory for a rating of 150 horsepower and 173 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with Laycock-de Normanville electric overdrive.
