This 1968 Dodge Dart GTS is a two-door hardtop that is finished in green with white side stripes over green upholstery and is powered by a 340ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a green vinyl roof cover, four-barrel carburetor, 14″ body-color steel wheels, front bucket seats, a center console, and a push-button AM radio. The right fender was reportedly replaced before the car was acquired by the seller in September 2014. Work completed under current ownership consisted of repainting the body, retrimming the interior, rebuilding the engine, transmission, and brakes, and replacing the camshaft, intake manifold, and carburetor. This Dart GTS is now offered with a car cover, dyno results, spare parts, and a clean Georgia title in the seller’s name.
The body left the factory finished in Racing Green Metallic (GG1) with white side stripes, and the car was reportedly repainted under current ownership. Equipment includes a green vinyl roof cover, chrome bumpers, a driver-side mirror, GTS badges, faux hood vents, and a dual exhaust system with oblong exits. The right front fender is said to have been replaced under previous ownership.
The 14″ body-color steel wheels wear hubcaps along with Cooper Radial tires. Braking is handled by unassisted four-wheel drums. The seller states that the wheel cylinders were replaced under current ownership along with the brake drums, shoes, and lines.
The front bucket seating is trimmed in green vinyl and joined by a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Interior equipment includes manually-operated windows, vent windows, rubber floor mats, a center console, a console-mounted gear selector, and a Dart solid state push-button radio. The seller states that the radio was rebuilt and the speakers, seat covers, carpet, and headliner were replaced under current ownership.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer and gauges displaying coolant temperature, fuel level, and battery charge. An analog clock is mounted in a cluster beneath the dashboard along with Stewart Warner gauges displaying oil pressure and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 45k miles, approximately 1,300 of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 340ci V8 was rebuilt in January 2021 and additional work reportedly included installing a Holley 650cfm carburetor, an LD340 intake manifold, a Comp Cam Thumper camshaft, and Lunati hydraulic roller lifters along with replacing the valves. Additional work completed at that time consisted of installing a replacement starter, fuel level sending unit, and Petrronix ignition system.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a rebuilt three-speed automatic transmission, a TCI Streetfighter torque converter, and a 3.91:1 Sure-Grip limited-slip differential.
