This 1984 Audi Quattro is finished in Tornado Red over brown leather upholstery and is powered by a turbocharged 2.2-liter 3B 20-valve inline-five linked to a five-speed manual transaxle. Additional modifications include a wrapped 3″ stainless-steel exhaust system, coilover suspension, later-style sloped European-specification headlights, tinted taillights, a raised rear wing, a Sport Quattro-style hood, tucked bumpers with a rally-style vented front cover, and 15″ Sparco wheels as well as a MOMO steering wheel, a Sony stereo, and additional gauges. This Ur-Quattro is now offered on dealer consignment in New Jersey with an accident-free Carfax report and a clean New York title.
The body has been modified with a Sport Quattro-style replica hood, a raised rear spoiler, a tucked rear bumper, and a tucked front bumper with a rally-style vented cover that houses Hella fog lights. Sloped H1/H4 European-specification Hella headlights with the accompanying grille have also been installed.
The car has been repainted its factory shade of Tornado Red according to the selling dealer. Porsche-script door trim was also fitted, the upper tail lights have been tinted, and the rear reflectors have been removed.
The 15″ Sparco wheels are secured with studs and mounted with 205/55 Michelin tires, and the left-rear center cap is missing. Girling G54 front calipers and cross-drilled rotors have been installed along with coilover suspension.
The seating surfaces are upholstered in brown leather with diagonally pleated inserts, and matching upholstery covers the door panels. A Sony stereo has been installed, and the differential lock controller has been relocated to the window switch panel to allow for auxiliary gauges. The left window is slow to operate, and the power mirrors do not work. An A4-style shift knob has also been installed.
The leather-wrapped MOMO steering wheel has an Audi Sport badge. The odometer has been stopped at 79,587 miles since at least 2003, which is reported on Carfax as a mileage inconsistency, and total mileage is unknown.
The 2.2-liter 3B 20-valve inline-five has a red-painted valve cover, a custom quattro-logo airbox, and an oversized aluminum radiator. The 3″ stainless-steel exhaust system has been wrapped.
