This 1957 Morris Minor 1000 four-door sedan was acquired by the seller in 2015 and received a subsequent repaint in rose taupe and an interior refresh in red vinyl. It is powered by a 948cc inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission and features white 14″ steel wheels with bright hubcaps as well as front disc brakes, fender-mounted side mirrors, a single SU carburetor, and a Smiths heater. This Series III Minor is offered at no reserve with a workshop manual, a mechanical service parts list, and a clean North Carolina title in the seller’s name listing it as a 1954 model.
The car was refinished in rose taupe and the window seals were replaced under current ownership. Exterior details include chrome bumpers with overriders as well as fender-mounted side mirrors and front vent windows. Blemishes in the finish can be viewed in the gallery below.
White 14″ steel wheels wear bright hubcaps and are mounted with 175/65 Douglas Xtra-Trac II tires. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.
The front bucket seats and rear bench were reupholstered in red vinyl with white piping under current ownership and are joined by color-coordinated door panels and replacement carpets. The seller notes that the gloveboxes were also relined and that the headliner was replaced along with the wood trunk floor. Appointments include manual-crank windows, a wood shift knob, and a Smiths heater.
The white banjo-style steering wheel fronts a centrally located Smiths 90-mph speedometer with an inset fuel level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 16k miles.
The 948cc inline-four is equipped with a single SU carburetor and was factory rated at 37 horsepower and 50 lb-ft of torque. The seller reports that the car has a positive earth ground and that the distributor points were cleaned, the spark plugs were replaced, and the oil was changed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Rust is present on the underside, additional photos of which are provided in the gallery.
